I’m Trevonna Parker, your insanely passionate REAL Reading Advocate. I’m the creator of Jumbled Structure, a REAL Reading Advocacy coaching and consulting company dedicated to the betterment of _____________
I have worked with many parents, and have partnered with our local public library, to help children of all ages improve reading skills.
For years I watched sad children and frustrated parents try to work through major reading struggles.
Eventually, I realized something must be done in the preschool years.
I introduced the idea of focused, yet simple and intuitive, preschool reading instruction to preschool teachers and was met with strong resistance.
They simply didn’t understand the need...or the simplicity.
I Felt Stuck...
BUT NOT DEFEATED.
I understood their trepidation was due to a lack of familiarity with the proven process.
I decided it didn’t matter. Children still must be helped.
I continued on with my commitment to help by rallying parents and reaching out directly to schools that would appreciate fresh eyes and new energy helping them find their way off the priority list.
I wanted them to have a proven way to bounce back and get rid of the negativity that the IR label brings.
I started the IR Recovery program and I am pushing forward to work with committed school leaders who realize that it’s necessary to take great strides in order to get REAL results.
